AMD delays Phenom 9700 into Q2, preps low-power variant

Ars TechnicaAMD now says that the quad-core Phenom 9700 (2.4GHz) and 9900 (2.6GHz) will be delayed until Q2 of 2008. The company intends to focus on launching its tri-core Toliman processors in Q1, along with a new, low-power quad-core part.
