Beijing's 'Net cafés: Real names, or no access for you!
Date : 03 12 2008 Category : TechnologyThe Beijing Xicheng District Culture Administration Enforcement Team says that all of the city's urban Internet cafés must implement a new system requiring real names and photo IDs by June of this year, and the suburban districts by the end of the year. If the system meets the government's expectations, it could go country-wide—possibly at the cost of China's growing Internet adoption rates.
